Then you get so desperate that you come up with all sort of silly ideas, like my dog ate my homework, or the ape gave me a punch and stole my work? Today, I was at the doggie spa when the two terrors –Sodom and Gomorrah came in and created havoc, it ruined the tranquil vibe in the spa. They went around disturbing people and pissing off other doggies. I would have personally kicked their naughty asses back to the “Old Testament” if I hadn’t got a pedicure and manicure done.

You Can Be a Massage Expert

…For Dogs.

No matter how well we take care of our dogs, disease and injuries do still occur. If the injury is related to the muscles, tendons, joints or ligaments a vet can help. If there is a defect in the hip or elbow joints and in cases caused by unhealthy breeding, the only treatment available is pain relief. As dog owners there is nothing we can do to repair problems related to unhealthy breeding nor can we prevent all accidents. However we can prevent muscle related problems and strain injuries by massaging and stretching our dogs regularly. This keeps the dog well-balanced physically and psychologically, allowing it to retain the agility of the young dog to an advanced age.

Massaging your dog has many benefits:

• Improves blood circulation
• Improves muscle tone and range of motion
• Improve socialization skills
• Helps injured muscle heal faster
• Helps dissolve formation of adhesions
• Increases flexibility of soft tissue
• Reduces discomfort from arthritis lameness and hip dysplasia
• Removes waste and toxins from muscles and joints
• Reduces stress caused by adjusting to new environment
• Reduces stiffness and provide comfort for elderly dogs
• Provides comfort
• Provides relaxation and improve wellness
  

Take 5 minutes a day and massage your dog on almost every part of its body from his head to his toes and you will not only get to know your dog better, but your touch will also stimulate something in your dog that will make your dog respond to you in ways I cannot explain. I guarantee you will notice the change in your dog's attitude within as little as 2 - 3 days!!!! Instructions for dog massage: Use very light oil. (I recommend Neutrogena Light Sesame Body Oil but baby oil is O.K.) Rub a very small amount (the size of a dime) into your hands and start at the top of the head and slowly stroke down the back to the base of the tail 3 - 4 times. Do an additional 2 - 3 times including the tail this time all the way to the tip. Use a very gentle but firm "squeeze-grip" on the tail as you slide your hand down to the tip, starting with a pause as you squeeze at the base of the tail, keeping your grip all the way to the tip of the tail. Next, gently rub the back of the neck behind the ears with your forefingers for a few seconds. Then, hold your dog's head in your hands by the cheeks and under the ears (with the dog facing you) and rock the head gently side-to-side 4 - 5 times. Massage the ears, taking care when you finish by inserting the tip of your thumb into the ear (about 1/8") and rub the ears between your thumb and forefinger. Massage your dog's eyes (they will close automatically) very lightly with your thumbs and stroke your forefingers down the nose, starting between the eyes. Gently pinch your dog's cheeks and lips several times and finally stroke the throat and chin. Add a drop more oil to your hands and massage the chest (while the dog is standing), moving your hands under the armpits and rubbing gently. Allow your hands to slide from the armpits to the forelegs. Slide your hands down the forelegs (like you did for the tail) with a soft but firm grip all the way down to the paws. Gently hold the paws (one at a time) and squeeze gently for a few seconds. Repeat this procedure, starting with the chest, 2 - 3 times. *A note: It is best to straddle your dog standing over him like you would sit on a horse when you start with the chest massage (don't sit on him!!!). Then turn the opposite direction and massage the buttock, sliding your hands down the hind legs and massaging down to the paws. (Just as you did for the forelegs.) You can also massage the chest, armpits, legs and paws while your dog is laying down. Either on his side or on his back.

I now want to show you how easily you can preserve and increase mobility and reduce the risk of muscle related injuries. Here is an example of one of the basic stretching techniques:

“The greater part of the pressure you exert should be applied by the flat hand although your thumb and fingers are also engaged in manipulation.”

“Hold the dog’s elbow with one hand, grasping the wrist with the other. Move the leg forward and upwards, stretching the elbow joint and the flexor muscles of the foreleg (shoulder joint). “

“Place one hand directly above the knee joint and the other hand on the lower part of the leg around the hock joint. Lift the leg upwards so that the knee is bent. Push gently upwards and backwards with the hand positioned above the knee joint.”

Season For Doggies

First it was Ringo who got a Maltese (Cheddie) then my neighbor uncle who brought in a stray pup, then recently a friend Felicia bought her first Shih Tzu (Cocoa) then Evie with a Miniature Schnauzer (Wei Wei).Anyone else got a doggie recently? Me and my dog Woa Woa are jumping for joy, not only we will get to see more pictures of the cute doggies, Woa Woa is going to have some new Pup Pals, so dog owners remember to get your doggie a Dogster account ya? Woa Woa added Wei Wei in dogster already and left her extra bones. :D

Since it is doggie season, here are some doggie treats that I usually baked for Woa Woa. They are pretty easy to make. Make some for your doggies, they are going to adore them.

Direction on making doggie treats:

Get all the ingredient (see below) ready and mix them in a bowl until they become dough. Knead it and then shape them into the shape you desired, usually a bone. You can also carve your doggie’s name on the treat before putting them in the oven which is usually 200 degrees for 30 minutes.

Ingredient for:

Tuna Tasties Treat – Canned Tuna, baking powder, whole meal flour, oath and chicken broth.
Oath meal Cheese Treat – Oath meal, broth, granted cheese, margarine, powder milk, whole meal flour.
Super Chucky Peanut Butter Treats- Chucky Natural Peanut butter, non fat milk, whole wheat flour.
Cheesy Dog Treats – Milk, margarine, cheddar cheese, whole wheat flour and egg
Bacon Dog Treat – Whole wheat flour, eggs, onion, bacon and vegetable oil
Basic Dog Treat – Whole wheat flour, broth, peanut butter, vegetable oil
Microwave Dog Treat – Whole wheat flour, powdered milk, quick cook oath meal, eggs.
Fishy Treat – Smoked Salmon bits, whole wheat flour, vegetable oil, eggs
Veggie Treat – Milk powder, Vegetable broth, shredded carrot, whole wheat flour, brown sugar and eggs.

Happy trying and sorry no measurement because usually I “agak-agak” (guess) only. Don’t worry it is safe and approve by Woa Woa and the doggies behind my house :P

It is a fucking hot Sunday and when the weather gets hot, nothing hits the spot than a glass of Iced Tea, better yet Iced Ginger Lime Mint Tea. This is how you make a fucking great Iced Tea.

Recipe for a Fucking Great Iced Ginger Lime Mint Tea

The Fucking Ingredient:
A pot of fucking Tea of your choice (breakfast tea or Earl Grey)
Ginger Ale (can)
Lime
Fresh Mint

The Fucking Method:

Some ass-licking prep work gotta be done way before you can serve your fucking Iced tea; make some flavored ice cubes using tea and ginger ale. You can fucking ignore this step but if you don’t want to fucking delude your iced tea while you are slowing sucking it, this would be a fucking great way to avoid it.

Fucking pour a quarter glass of ginger ale into a fucking tall glass and then squeeze the juice outta some fucking lime into it. Add in some ass spanking fresh mint leaves and fucking squash it to bring out the minty taste. Next take out the fucking flavored ice cubes (Ginger ale and Tea) that you have fucking made and put them into the fucking glass. Add the fucking tea and garnish that shit with some mint leave.

This Sunday was marked as the 14^th day of the 7^th Lunar Month which is the Hungry Ghost month and it was also the time where all Ghost activities are at its peak (so I heard). In the evening everywhere around, you can see worshipper, squatting (Bang Sai style) at the roadside, burning joss stick & incest and offering food to the hungry ghosts. Anyway, that is not the point; they said that a dog can see apparition and spirits and when they do, they will howl. It just so happened on the night of the Hungry Ghost Festival, while I was resting on my bed my neighbors’ dogs behind my house was howling for the first time. It was sort of like a lament type of howl. The first thing that came to my mind was not ghost but maybe a thief or something else. As I look through the window, I could see nothing. My dog Woa Woa looked out the window, she too started howling. I think I read from somewhere that the shutter can capture the image of apparition and ghost, so I went out and took my camera with me, hoping that I can get a few snap shot of ghost, so that I can proudly display it on my blog the next day.

Well, it turned out that there was something out there last night but it wasn’t a ghost or a spirit. It was a little fellow who got lost. It was my neighbor’s new puppy who I think accidentally got out from its compound and was wondering around the road behind my house. I just couldn’t bring myself to let this little bugger wander alone at night. Who knows he might get mugged by a pack of bandit cats or rogue rats. So after feeding it and playing with it for a while, I placed the little one back into his compound to join the rest of his doggie mates.

My neighbor keeps 5 dogs in his compound, you might think that it is a lot, but let me tell you what this guy does. His place is actually a safe haven for abandoned and unwanted dogs. He actually take care of those dogs that are abandoned by their previous owners, owners that had to moved away or poor dogs which the owner wanted to disown them because they have skin problems. He has such a soft spot for these dogs, he not only feed and baths them, he plays with them every day. The thing that he does is very admirable, instead of leaving these unwanted dogs out in the cold, he took them in, feed them and give them a place to call their own. Way to go man, I salute you. I’ll leave you with some picture of these doggies.

Other doggies in the compound, the black one is the only female, left here after its owner migrated elsewhere. The other one is call “Guai Lo”, he is the first day to be in the compound.

Cute little bugger who is constantly bullied by the other dogs, maybe because of his size. On its right, the noisiest of the bunch, likes to take a shit in a flower pot. You should see him in action, it is hilarious.

Nope this isn’t another dog but the cute one above, after undergoing intensive hair treatment, he was left bald. Poor little doggie has skin problem :(

Here In My Bed

After days of rain water, insect bites and sleeping in cheap motels and inns, I am finally back from the trail hunt. A hunt in the jungles of Cherating to look for the ultimate downhill trail for the ultimate downhill biking experience but all we got was rain water, a whole lot of sand flies (Ooo I hate those fuckers) biting our asses, shit load of scratches and a bad knee. Anyway, I am not going to whine about how unfruitful the trip was; I am just happy to be home.

When I reached home early Sunday morning, the sight of my dog Woa Woa wagging her tail just made me glad that I am home. The first thing that was on my mind was stripping down and head to bed. With the air-conditioning on full blast, I wrapped my duvet around and slept through Sunday morning.

“Dear Gym God, sorry I miss service again, I promise to make it up to you next week :p”

Looks like my bed wasn’t empty while I was gone, Woa Woa was making herself comfortable.

After spending hours in the studio, Evie came up with the idea of going to the beach with our dogs. It’s been some time since I brought Woa Woa for a swim so it was a great idea. But my camera’s battery die on me, but I manage to take some short clips before the battery was fully drained. The day had to end quickly because the sky grew dark like it was almost going to fall on us. So we had to head back for shelter. On our way back, we stopped to get some food to fill our stomach. The day’s outing ended in Evie’s place where both human and dogs had Durian and Kerepok Lekor for dinner.
